Waukesha- It took a little over 2 hours before former Pewaukee alderman Anthony Balistreri learned just how long he would be going to prison.

Balistreri 43, was convicted July 14, 2006 after a 5 day trial in which he was found guilty of 19 felonies and faced more the 200 years in prison for sexually assaulting his two step children.

Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Donald Hassin showed no mercy when he sentenced Balistreri to spend the next 45 years of his life behind bars. Balistreri showed very little emotion except to say he was wrongly convicted and planned to appeal his conviction.

In court, Judge Hassin said that Balistreri planned, executed, and systematically befriended both victims and then exposed them to drugs and alcohol for his own sexual pleasures.

One of the victims was in court and was seen crying.
