Separate shooting leaves one dead

Milwaukee- Milwaukee police were involved in two seperate shootings over the weekend.
A 50-year-old man was shot by police after he refused to drop two large knives as he approached police, the report said.
Police were called at 3:57 p.m. from a woman that stated the man was preparing to go outside and slash tires in the 300 block of W. Iona Terrace, which is on the south side.
When officers confronted the man he was told to drop the knives which he refused to do, police said. When the man moved towards the officers they shot and killed him.
Then next shooting happened while officers were on patrol near 27th and Burleigh. When officer's followed a car into an alley the driver put his car in reverse and hit the officers. One of the officers shot the 17-year-old driver after his partner was stroke by the car.
Both officers were placed on administration duties pending the out come of the investigation on these shootings.
