Milwaukee- A 17-year-old boy was stabbed and died after celebrating his birthday.

Police identified the boy as Irvin Colon-Alvarado who would of turned 18 today.

The party which was being held in the 600 block of W. Lapham at an apartment complex had about 50 people there. Pushing and shoving started after a group of people attempted to enter the party and were refused entry.

The boy left the party and walked to a gas station to call his cousin for a ride home. While waiting for his ride at 10:30 p.m. he was stabbed. The boy was stabbed several times in his upper torso. He was taken to Froedtert Hospital where he died at 11:49 p.m.

Police do not know if he was stabbed by people from the party or if he was a victim of a robbery.
