Fondulac- A 60-year-old Fond du Lac woman died Monday after jumping from an overpass, police said. Police and firefighters received a call about 7:30 a.m. saying a woman had jumped from a bridge, police Lt. Mick Burroughs said in a statement. The first officer to arrive found the woman lying unconscious just north of the overpass, he said. She was taken to St. Agnes Hospital and pronounced dead.Witnesses told police that the woman parked her vehicle at the top of the bridge and then climbed over the railing on the bridges north side. Police did not release the woman's name.
