West Bend- A 42-year old Boy Scout leader and father of three met a 15-year-old girl on line and traveled from Texas to Wisconsin to have sex with her. He is accused of coming to Wisconsin 3 times in the last month to be with the girl.
According to the criminal complaint, Richard F. Geyer and the girl met on line in February in a Yahoo chat room and talked on line for five hours. For the next week they both talked on line every day, the complaint says.
Eventually, Geyer asked the girl for her cell phone number and they began to talk often on the phone, sometimes engaging in role playing by pretending they were married, the complaint says.
The girl initially told Geyer she was 27, telling him her true age only after several weeks. By that time Geyer said it was to late because they were already in love with each other, the complaint says.
Geyer's first trip to Wisconsin he met the girl at her house while her parents were not home.
Soon after that they began meeting at the West Bend Library where they would then drive to his hotel, the complaint says.
After that Geyer is accused of driving from Texas to Wisconsin and picking the girl up at the Library, taking her back to his hotel room and helping her with her homework before engaging in sex. On this trip Geyer also is accused of furnishing the girl with lingerie he had purchased for her, the complaint says.
Geyer is charged with repeated acts of sexual assault against a child, using a computer to facilitate a sex crime and five counts of child enticement.
Geyer is being held in the Washington County Jail on $100.00 bail and is facing over 100 years if he is convicted.
